Each time I more or less repeat your points above, and each time I get told it's, "the lesser off two evils," to which I reply that, "it is still evil." Then I get some argument that fails to understand how forcing people to vote is hardly a democratic tradition -- which still wouldn't be excusable -- and why it is immoral. The circular logic of it all is aggravating. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve been told this in justification of Australia’s system of compulsory voting.
