  2. Did you ever consider that maybe a society without common goals, values, or culture cannot possibly remain cohesive and must therefore rely on ‘nanny state’ ‘police state’ bullying to maintain order? We could overthrow authority tomorrow but it probably wouldn’t fix anything so long as there are Americans who lack so little will power and intelligence that they are morbidly obese cell phone addicts. A society that has no direction necessitates strong armed tactics and this creates a backlash among the population- leading to anarchist or anti-government sentiment. The European nations were beacons of civilization and greatness for over two thousand years until their governments stopped serving a purpose and were overthrown in endless revolutions from France to Russia. Similair uprisings occured around the globe and today we are back to square one: more people demanding more ‘emancipation’ so they can be further dissappointed by their own selfish lack of purpose.

Now that I think of it, I’ve never understood why so many people refer to America as a ‘police state’. To me America is the total opposite-it’s anarchy. Not anarchy in the economic sense that you describe, but in the negative sense as a society lacking any authority or personal responsibility. People basically do whatever they want and indeed, the only real authority IS the police- maybe that’s why they call it the police state eh?
Seems like we actually need LESS freedom get anything accomplished.

The people indirectly and directly help to build the prison of laws, regulations and police state. They become passive and accepting and in the end they help solidify the state, the ruling class and its priviliges.
